Auriana is a well-rounded and dedicated attorney whose practice spans labor and employment law, personal injury, and maritime defense. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Political Science, with a minor in Public Administration, from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in Spring 2017. She went on to receive her Juris Doctor from Southern University Law Center in Spring 2021, an institution recognized for producing some of the nation’s top litigators. During law school, Auriana served on the Trial Advocacy Board and competed in intramural trial competitions, where she began cultivating her courtroom skills. She also had the opportunity to extern alongside Justice Piper D. Griffin in 2019, before she was elected to the Louisiana Supreme Court, and later gained valuable experience as a Rural Summer Legal Corps Fellow in 2020.
Auriana began her legal career at Moore & Associates, where she practiced labor and employment law and personal injury litigation. In her first year of practice, she served as third chair in a 29-plaintiff Fair Labor Standards Act collective action trial in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. By 2023, Auriana joined Thomas Quinn, LLP, where she expanded her practice to include maritime law, defending claims brought under the Defense Base Act, an extension of the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act.
Raised in a family of trailblazing small business owners and entrepreneurs, Auriana developed strong business acumen and grit at an early age. At just fifteen years old, she secured her first legal position at a law firm in her hometown, Fort Pierce, Florida, handling entry-level administrative tasks after school. By her senior year of high school, she was enrolled in cosmetology school and obtained a braiding license, allowing her to work in a salon on evenings and weekends. What began as a creative outlet evolved into a self-sustaining business that supported her throughout college and law school. By her third year of law school, Auriana owned and operated a wig-making business, crafting custom units for women nationwide. Today, she continues this work by donating customized cranial prosthetics to women undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatment.
Upon joining ESS Law Partners in 2026, Auriana focuses her practice on labor and employment matters, Defense Base Act claims, and personal injury litigation. She is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and is admitted to the United States
District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
Outside of her legal practice, Auriana enjoys planning events and vacations for family and friends, traveling abroad, and crafting custom cranial prosthetics. She is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the Houston Lawyers Association.
